Schweitzer Mountain offers an average of over 300 inches of snow a year, has a summit elevation of over 6400 feet, and offers over 2000 feet of vertical drop. With the reliable snowpack in the Selkirks, that means that not only is there a lot of space to ski and ride, there’s also a lot of snow to go around.
Ski Magazine has voted Schweitzer as “The best kept secret in North America”. They also ranked it #3 in USA for lifts at one stage. Schweitzer is uncrowded and a hidden gem relative to Vail or Aspen.
